Third UN Data Innovation Lab Workshop
(Cape Town, South Africa)
On January 19-20, 2017, UN Global Pulse will co-host the third UN Data Innovation Lab workshop together with the World Food Programme. The two-day workshop — one of six in the series — will follow the World Data Forum in Cape Town, South Africa, and will focus on data partnerships. Experts from academia, the private sector, and civil society will join workshop participants from across the UN system in order to present different examples of data partnerships and to workshop live projects.
Participants in the workshop will:
- explore different types of data partnership models, and the opportunities and challenges associated with each;
- understand how to design a data partnership which will meet the unique needs of a data innovation project;
- learn about the incentives and value propositions which motivate organizations to participate in data partnerships; and
- co-create ideas and insights with UN colleagues and external colleagues to support live UN data innovation projects.
Attendance by invitation only.
