From 8-10 September 2010, the Global Pulse initiative convened a meeting at the Rockefeller Brothers Fund's (RBF) Pocantico Hills Conference Center. The Global Pulse team would like to thank RBF for their generous support of this event. The meeting brought together experts from UN agencies and a small number of outside experts familiar with the Global Pulse Initiative. Participants' backgrounds were diverse, including expertise in vulnerability analysis, policy formulation, economics, statistics, mobile technology, GIS and disaster relief. The overall meeting objective was to tap into the participants' experience to generate inputs for the development of a cross-sectoral analytical framework for the Global Pulse initiative. The meeting was organized in cooperation with the Meridian Institute.
