AIDF Asia: Aid & Response Summit 2015

(Bangkok, Thailand) The AIDF Asia: Aid & Response Summit 2015 covers overlapping areas of humanitarian response and global development with an emphasis on the role of technology and innovation. The summit will showcase expertise, approaches and innovations by different stakeholders in the Asia-Pacific region; provide a forum to discuss guidelines and regional policy options that support technological innovations and provide an opportunity for knowledge exchange and networking amongst public, private and civil society stakeholders. The three day event covers the following topics:
16 June: Mobile for Development (mobile communication for disaster relief, financial inclusion, cash transfers, m-health, m-learning, community engagement),
17 June: Disaster & Community Resilience (DRR, early-warning systems, GIS, data & knowledge management, public health via e-health and disease control)
18 June: Aid & Response Operations (operational efficiency, emergency communication and collaboration, procurement, logistics).
