Big Data Solutions for Development

(Seoul, Republic of Korea) The Government of South Korea and the World Bank are co-hosting a three-day meeting on ‘Big Data Solutions for Development: Knowledge Sharing Series on Innovation for Development.’

The event will bring together teams from fifteen developing countries (Colombia, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan,Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, Philippines, Rwanda, Serbia, Tanzania, Ukraine, Uruguay, Uzbekistan, Zambia and Uganda) to explore how big data can help address a specific development challenge that each country team will present. The knowledge series will focus on Agriculture, Transportation and Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

The lab manager of Pulse Lab Kampala will speak during panel disccusions on “Big Data: Responsible Use” and Pulse Lab Jakarta’s data scientist will present “Big Data Success Stories.”
