Crisis and conflict early warning – from big data to AI – new analytical tools
9 June at 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM EDT
(Online) The Berlin Summer Dialogue series is dedicated to international responsibility in crises and conflicts. The event spans across several weeks. This year, discussions will centre around crisis prevention at the UN, using new analytical tools to inform crisis and conflict early warning, and international cooperation for better response.
UN Global Pulse is happy to participate as a speaker in the session entitled: Crisis and conflict early warning – from big data to AI – new analytical tools that will be taking place on 9 June 2020, starting at 9:00am.
The session will try to answer questions like: What kind of tools already exist or are being developed? How are they deployed to provide earlier warning of crises? Is there a role for artificial intelligence in this context? What can it contribute, and what are the possible future risks?
