UNDESA Virtual Expert Group meeting

The Division for Inclusive Social Development (DISD) of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA), in collaboration with the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), is organizing an expert group meeting on the priority theme of the 59th session of the Commission for Social Development (Feb. 2021), which is “Socially just transition towards sustainable development: The role of digital technologies on social development and well-being of all”. The outcomes of the meeting will inform the report of the Secretary-General to be submitted to the 59th session of the Commission.
The virtual expert group meeting will take place 4 – 7 August 2020, including parallel regional and thematic break-out sessions (with time flexibility for regional sessions). Please note that you will not be required to attend all sessions.
UN Global Pulse is pleased to participate in the meeting and share its expertise on the theme of digital governance and more broadly, data privacy, protection, and ethics.
