Closing the Information Gap: Understanding the Needs of Parents and Caretakers of Children with Disability in Indonesia

In Indonesia, people with disability are often underrepresented, left behind and lack equal access to basic services, including health and education. Additional challenges such as social stigma surrounding disability add to the struggles faced by those who require important information to make key decisions.
To support the UN mission to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and to Leave No One Behind (LNOB), UN Global Pulse Asia Pacific joined forces with the UN in Indonesia by developing a project focusing on data on and data for people with disability.Over the course of a year, our team sought to develop an inclusive digital platform that provides information for people with disability, particularly for parents and caretakers of children with disability.
